Belinda: Why I am fundraising for FMA UK

"I am running the Great North Run in memory of my Grandma Josie, also known by her 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as Bashers. Josie suffered with fibromyalgia for 15 years getting considerably worse in the last two years of her life, before she sadly passed away in April this year. She never wanted people to know how much pain she was in and whenever you went around she couldn't do enough for you, making you endless cups of tea and trying to feed you up before you went home, usually with a bag of food to take with you, as well as things she'd picked up from the charity shop that she thought you might like.

This first year, especially Christmas is going to be hard for us as a family, there's a lot of running jokes about her keeping everyone topped up with deicer, underwear and Terrys chocolate oranges as well as someone always getting someone else's present.

I want to raise money for FMAUK so that there can be more research and support to for people living with fibro so that they can live a life without pain and go on to make lots of happy memories.

The picture attached is me, my daughter, my grandma and grandad on one of her good days."
