Kerrie McMahon's London Marathon run for fibromyalgia

Kerrie run the London marathon 2018 and raised £668 for FMA UK. Kerrie told us: ‘’I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia nearly 3 years ago, but too be honest I think I am very lucky compared to other friends I know who suffer with this. I have always dreamt of doing the London Marathon and after 5 years of entering the ballot I finally got accepted for the 2018. To be honest I wasn’t able to get very much training in due to time and being on & off unwell, so just decided to take the plunge and give it my best shot. I admit a couple of times I nearly threw the towel in as the pain was starting to get very bad but didn’t want to let anyone down, especially FMA UK, so finally after a long 7:39 hours I finally crossed the finish line and received my medal I have always wanted.’’

We say well done to Kerrie!
