Cwmbran & Newport Fibro Support Group will be have a stall at 'Greenmeadow Community Farms' Annual Show on 11th September. Tombola, free information and FMA Merchandise on sale. 10.30 am - 5.00pm.
South Glos Support Group held an awareness stand and sales stall at the Alveston Community Show on Saturday, 3rd September from 2.00pm.
The Nene Valley Support Group are holding three awareness stalls concurrently in the main library in Northampton and also two other large libraries around Northampton. Also on the 3rd September we have another awareness stall in Irthlingborough who are holding a carnival (Irthlingborough is a town north of Northampton).
The Nene Valley are also involved in a charity event at the end of October at which we will have an awareness stall and awareness literature to hand out and items for sale. The day is raising funds for fibromyalgia, MS, Cancer and Parkinson's and proceeds are to be split 4 ways. We shall of course require more booklets on these aware events.
Unfortunately other demands and circumstances meant our plans to invite ALL Northamptonshire MP's and group members to a working lunch and presentation on fibro during awareness week did not finalise. However we hope to rearrange this for a Saturday in November as this is past the summer recess for parliament. Naturally the press and our Northampton Mayer will also be invited to attend.

If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.

You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
