Launch of Pain Alliance Europe

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=7|imageid=61|displayname=0|displaydetail=0|displaydownload=0|displaybuttons=0|displaydescription=0|float=right|displayimgrating=0}November 29th was the launch of the new organisation Pain Alliance Europe (PAE). PAE is an alliance of patient associations from countries across Europe who have Chronic pain in common. ENFA (of which FMA UK is a member) has been involved from the beginning and is founding member of PAE.

The launch took place in the European Parliament and was sponsored by MEP Marian Harkin from Ireland. Also present was Prof Dr. Hans Kress, president of EFIC, Dr Albrecht Werner Policy officer for the European Commission and Mary Baker president of EBC European Brain Council.

Directly after the launch event there was a general meeting with the founding members. In that meeting they elected a President and a Board. Joop van Griensven was elected as President who is also the current treasurer of ENFA.
