Ian running the London Marathon

Five years ago, my wife Amanda fell ill and was eventually diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. She is now unable to work and one affect of the Fibromyalgia is that she needs an electric wheelchair to get about, although this is by no means the worst consequence of the condition.

I am running the London Marathon on 17th April 2011 in support of the Fibromyalgia Association UK. Fibromyalgia is a debilitating condition that causes extreme pain and fatigue. It is known as the 'invisible illness' as it can affect sufferers in many ways that are not visibly apparent. Few people have heard of it, so hopefully by doing this I can help raise awareness of it.
