''The Dyed Divas'' at the 5k Inflatable Obstacle Rush

Sian Flinn and her 7 friends took part in an exciting anf fun event to raise funds and awareness about fibromyalgia.
Sian said: ‘’The event took place at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Saturday 4th July. It was a 5k Inflatable Obstacle Course run with colour bombs and foam gauntlets.
Lots of fun to do and the weather was on our side. I am a fitness instructor in the East Midlands and took part in this race with 7 of my class participants. We called our team 'The Dyed Divas'.
I decided however to use the opportunity to raise money for your charity as my husband John has lived and continues to live every day with Fibromyalgia. Many people I speak to have never heard of this illness so wanted to raise awareness but I wanted to support the developments that could be made in helping those who suffer with it and also those who support Fibromyalgia sufferer's as it can drastically effect the dynamics of a relationship sometimes as you will be more than aware of. Here are a few photos of the day. My sponsorship came from friends, family and my class participants’’.

The charity is run by volunteers, most of whom have fibromyalgia.
If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.
You can request a medical pack using this form.
You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
