Running is great idea and has lots of benefits both for FMAUK and the prson participating in the run. There is a certain feeling that one has when helping out a charity that is more fulfilling and gratifying that any accolade or material gift that any one can receive.
Great North Run
Great North Run will not disappoint!! It is the worlds most popular half marathon welcoming over 57,000 from over 130 different countries, attracting world class athletes such as Mo Farah mens winner of 2019 and Brigid Kosgei womens winner of 2019. Most of all the atmosphere is out of this world and you may even get seen on the televison as this event is televised by BBC.
Run for FMAUK
We have a small number of guaranteed places for 2020. If you would like to apply for one please read our terms and conditions if you are satisfied that you can commit then please complete our fundraising registration form and one of our fundraising team will be in touch.

If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.

Trustee meetings are held monthly via Skype and last about 2 hours. There is an annual meeting that coincides with our group leaders’ meeting over a weekend.
You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
