SGFMSG (Stevenage) are keeping busy

SGFMSG (Stevenage) support group have a couple of fundraising/awareness events. Group leader Pam Cantrell has all the information -
1) a McMillan coffee morning to network with McMillan - While raising funds which will be donated to McMillan, we will be raising awareness and handing out leaflets for Fibromyalgia. This is happening on Friday 26Sept as a drop in session from 10am - 3pm at The Poplars Community Centre, Magpie Crescent, The Poplars, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG2 9RZ. Refreshments, cakes, biscuits, and other baked goodies on sale. Volunteers welcome to bake, or help on the day get in touch.
2) TUESDAYS Quiz nights - during Oct and Nov hosted by The Red Lion Pub in Shephall. All funds raised are towards our group to help us with our work raising awareness for Fibromyalgia and group running costs. All welcome - groups/teams of 6 - for everyone able to join us in the Hertfordshire area. If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.

You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
