We are delighted to announce that Dr Jacob Teitelbaum is visiting Bath on the 4th of August and has agreed to give a talk at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases. The event will begin at 2.30pm and Dr T's talk will be on fibromyalgia and his treatment programme. Dr Teitelbaum specialises in treating fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome at his clinic in Annapolis in the USA and is the author of the popular book From Fatigued to Fantastic!
He suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome himself while at medical school and for over a decade now has dedicated himself to effectively treating and researching chronic fatigue and FM.
He has designed many of his own treatment remedies to incorporate the important vitamins, minerals, enzymes and hormones etc that people with FM can lack. He is certainly a popular speaker, invited to conferences worldwide and conveys his message with empathy and clarity.

If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.

You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
