British Pain Society Patient Liaison Committee is looking for new members

The British Pain Society Patient Liaison Committee is looking for new members to join the committee.

BPS patient liaison committeeTo apply you must be a layperson (Not medically trained or working/having worked in a profession allied to medicine) with an interest in the NHS and in making sure people get the best care, particularly people living with pain.

Experience of living with pain (either Patient or Carer) would be useful. Lay members will be working with healthcare professionals from different disciplines and other patients and carers.

Applicants must be available to attend meetings in London for up to four days per year and to contribute to consultations by email. Some meetings will be held via teleconference. The British Pain Society will reimburse travel costs.

Interviews will be held on the Monday 26 January 2015 in London.

The first meeting of the Patient Liaison Committee following the interviews is 9 February 2015.
