If you want to represent fibromyalgia in the Virgin London Marathon we want to hear from you. FMA UK has been lucky enough to secure just one place in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2015. We entered a charity ballot for this place and will not be able to enter again until 2017 so we have to make this one count.
If your passion is running and you want to support us in our quest to make sure everyone with fibromyalgia receives effective treatment, this is your chance.
You will need to pay a £100 registration fee and pledge to raise at least £1000 using virginmoneygiving.com. Unfortunately, we cannot refund this fee if you change your mind after entry or drop out of the race.
You need to apply by 15th November 2014. A decision will be made by the 30th November and the registration fee will be due at that time or the place will be given to another applicant.

If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.

You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
